We have 99% certainty that the expansion of the universe is the correct picture. Only that 1% will decide about everything.
The only thing that is certain is the universe and our description of the universe are two different things.

Almost our entire comprehension of the nature of the Universe manifested itself for us in a few glimpses of human genius: finite but without borders … independent of anything … expands from Nothing…ness!
So, can something ruin this beautiful picture of the universe?
Maybe – but don’t try to guess what it might be.
So how to understand this universe when we don’t have the slightest idea of what we want to understand … and this isn’t a problem of faith, only reason.
Paraphrasing the famous statements of quantum physics … most of our reasoning has a negligible effect on our concept of the essence of the universe.
Even the most powerful minds fail … and remain scientific nonsense?

But do not understand what is the expansion of the universe, it is already an exaggeration.

It is always attractive, stupid. Because gravity guarantees the existence of the universe.

Our comprehension isn’t the essence of the universe; it is only the picture that emerged from our reasoning.
We can see strange events at a distance of 14 billion light years, and why not at a distance of 0.4 billion light years.
Maybe galaxies are running away from us at 8 c, and maybe we are running away from an advanced civilization at a speed of 22 c.

The beginning was beautiful. A static universe. Eternal. But the existence of such a universe makes no sense from a scientific point of view.
So the universe began with the Big Bang … was created by itself … was created out of nothing (quite natural process). Expands.
And this expansion carries the galaxies with it!
Total nonsense that scientists come up with all the time.
A reasonable guess may be that the clusters of galaxies are stationary, while the space itself expands between clusters of galaxies.
But (we can see) the galaxies are running away from us. Two irrefutable facts, total contradiction? No. Because this does not apply to the nature of these processes, just how we perceive it.
All is imaginable, even the birth of the universe or dark energy … in the total helplessness, we can count on mathematics, which is able to explain and prove almost everything.
Just not this one – when space itself is expanding between clusters of galaxies (growing by itself but doesn’t affect galaxies) and clusters of galaxies distant from each other without any real causes.

Big Bang … inflation – but this is out of date.

Inflation is something that makes no sense.
But even such nonsense is badly needed by scientists to be able to describe the universe scientifically.
The problem is we do not understand how dark energy (which drives inflation) could do it?
Even ignoring the small problem that apparently hardly existed at the beginning (At the Big Bang, dark energy was a trivial constituent of the cosmos. riess)
So repulsive gravity turned out to be a more beautiful and more reasonable solution.
In this case, at least we have the illusion that we know how gravity works.
Gravity turns into repulsive gravity which causes explosive expansion of the universe.
When it seemed that the universe disappeared forever (deprived of gravity), at the last moment this destructive gravity turns into normal gravity again. Easily and without complications.
Just a small problem.
As a space bounded by the power of gravity could expand at a speed exceeding the speed of light and of course the speed of gravity.
Even Big Bang had to adjust to gravity because couldn’t tear gravity.
And dark energy could do it.
Maybe it was gravity that broke its own rules and would expand with two or twenty times the speed of light just because it turned into repulsive gravity.

Big Bang – beginning of the existence of the Universe. But how could the universe come into existence when there was no space where the explosion could occur.
Simplifying: if the universe was created in the Big Bang, only what about the reason behind the very existence of the Universe in the first place?
A ball thrown up must come back.
Gravity is always attractive, pulling things together. So the universe would be crushed down to something very small.
Only if this truth about gravity was the whole truth about the universe, nothing would make sense.
Big Space: The space that has already been created can not again become a grain of sand, nor disappear or dissolve, cannot fall apart.
After all, this space is not a Big Nothing, as the scientists say, right?
Big Rip: the universe cannot break in itself. Because it would deny the very essence of the universe. The more it cannot rupture out. So no Big RIP! Because if it were possible – it wouldn’t be possible for the existence of the universe.
One can imagine that dark energy causes the expansion of the universe.
Only how is it possible that such a fundamental process that creates the universe, we understood as something as trivial as the expansion of gas in a balloon.
But the real reason for the expansion of the universe is (first) the spontaneous creation of a new, larger space.
(It’s a pity, because it sounds so beautiful that it’s the dark energy that pushes the galaxy).
You can of course also conclude that it is just different symptoms of the same process. It’s just a matter of interpretation. Only inability to understand this subtle difference creates disastrous consequences.
Very strange. We can detect small signs of processes from the depths of the cosmos.
When quite nearby, on edges our cluster of galaxies is being created new space, the most powerful process since the big bang created space for the first time.
And what, we don’t notice it, we do not observe, we don’t have million of terabytes of saved data.
Maybe creation of space does not produce any effects – just something will pop out and we already have more space.
